Tourism Promotion Programme To Attract One Million Chinese Tourists To Sri Lanka

Chinese Ambassador Yi Shiyan Liyang says a tourism promotion programme will be implemented in future to attract one million Chinese tourists to Sri Lanka. China also expects to start a number of economic, education and trade exchange programmes to enhance cultural relations with Sri Lanka.

Participating in a ceremony at the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy yesterday the Ambassador said Chinese government is continuously focusing attention on Sri Lanka's national economy. China is ready to help Sri Lanka at any time to achieve economic goals. The Chinese Ambassador declared open the sanitary system constructed at the temple of the tooth under the Chinese aid.
