This years Tourism leaders summit and the international research symposium  carries the theme ‘Sustainable Tourism for development and way forward for Sri lanka .’  Sustainable tourism for development is the global theme envisaged by the UNWTO  and   viewed from a srilankan perspective to create  the occasion to deliberate on timely topics for the  country’s industry .  The symposium will be held on 03rd Oct  2017 and the summit is scheduled  to be held on 4th oct 2017 at the BMICH .

The well recognized  premier event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism development , and  Sri Lanka tourism as the key partners . Nearly 1000 industry professionals are expected to take part in the main event while there will be a series of fringe events in the run-up to the summit .

Timely and relevant topics to srilankan tourism  have been chosen to be deliberated at the summit  and the pragmatic ways and means to achieve sustainable tourism as per needs of the country will be discussed in length .
