Its Time For Rain Dance With Tune From Deputy Minister

More and more effected by the drought these day. Especially Anuradhapura area is suffering from the dry weather. Indigenous people from Dalukaha and Pollebadda performed ritualistic dances praying for rain on 1st of October at Dimbulagala Aranya Senasanaya which held throughout the night. 

Palitha Thewarapperuma, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs contributed participated the event as the chief guest.  His put his musical skills in good use and kindly contributed in a tribal rain dance ritual performed by vadda people. He played ‘Davula’ drum for a dance called ‘Kiri Koraha’.
