Ranjan Ramanayake 'Delighted' At Rajapaksa's Decision To Send Letter Of Demand [AUDIO]

Former Deputy Minister and UNP candidate Ranjan Ramanayake on Monday (27) stated that he was delighted by the news that former president Mahinda Rajapaksa was sending a letter of demand to him.

Speaking with Asian Mirror Ramanayake stressed that Rajapaksa was trying to shut people who raise their voices on allegations of corruption and misdeeds.

“I will prove how he misused tsunami funds by transferring them to his sister’s bank account. I have enough evidence to prove those allegations, including Sarath N Silva’s voice clip on the issue,” Ramanayake asserted.

Rajapaksa’s lawyers yesterday (26) said that they will be sending letters of demand to five individuals including Minister Mangala Samaraweera, former Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayake and JVP leader Anura Dissanayake against certain comments they had allegedly made on the former President.

Responding to the news, JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake also said that he was awaiting a face-to-face meeting with former President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the courts.
