Government Protecting Corrupt Politicians, Accuses JVP

November 24, 2015

Despite its promises, the government protects corrupted politicians, JVP leader Anura Dissanayaka said.

He stated this at a protest rally organized by ‘Voice Against Corruption’, which was held in front of the Fort Railway Station yesterday.

"The 'Maithri – Ranil government' is making deals with corrupted politicians who should be brought to justice”, Dissanayaka said.

Moreover, he claimed that investigations against former Ministers Susil Premajayantha, S.B. Dissanayake, Anura Yapa, Dilan Perera, Mahindananda Aluthgamage and T.B. Ekanayake have already been completed. However, no action is taken against them, Dissanayake said. He also claimed that action should be taken against Namal Rajapaksa and Yoshitha Rajapaksa as well.

Although the government intends to forgive and forget, the JVP will not do so, Dissanayake said.
