"Fingers Crossed" - MR To Meet Wimal Soon After Bolivian Tour

President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to have crucial talks with Minister Wimal Weerawansa and senior members of his party soon after the President's return from Bolivia. 

During the discussion, the 12 proposals presented by the National Freedom Front will be discussed at length, aiming to iron out differences between the government and its ally, NFF.

This came in a context where NFF Leader Wimal Weerawansa had organized  series of seminars in several parts of the country under the theme "wiya yuththe kumakda?" (What should happen?)
 
Meanwhile. in a positive development between the two parties, NFF Leader Wimal Weerawansa has welcomed the president's decision to seek opinion of the Parliament on the international inquiry panel appointed by the UNHRC. 
 
The minister, addressing a public meeting yesterday, had said it was a wise move to let Parliament decide on the matter as the legislature represents the supreme power of people. 
 
According to political sources, discussions between the President and the NFF delegation will take place on Wednesday or Tuesday in the presence of several senior officials of the UPFA. 
 
Sources from the Temple Trees confirmed Asian Mirror that the President was in a frame of mind to resolve the issues with the National Freedom Front - which took a turn from bad to worse with the adoption of  the Strategic Development Act.
