Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe launched the Southern Development Project at the Mirijjawila investment promotion zone today.
The Southern Development Project is one of the key initiatives of the government in its economic development program.
The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Yi Xianliang, Ministers, Parliamentarians, Provincials councillors and other degeneration attend the event.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said the Southern Development Project will start an industrial revolution addressing guests during the event.
The project was initiated following lengthy discussions with the Chinese Government, he added.
