PM Wants Next World Economic Forum To Be Held In SL

Minister Harin Fernando says prime minister Ranil Wickremasinghe has requested to hold the nest World Economic Forum in Sri Lanka. Addressing the media briefing held at the government information department this afternoon the minister said that holding such a significant event in Sri Lanka will help to make the country one of most vibrant places of the region. The World Economic Forum has been conducting annually for 47 years.
55 state leaders and 300 minsiters of different countries attended the world Economic Forum this year. The Sri Lankan delegation led by the premier was able to had a series of discussions with leading entrepreneurs of the world on the side line of the forum.

The minister said that Executive Director of the world food organization Ertharin Cousin will visit Sri Lanka to study the dry weather condition on the request of the premier.
