The Cabinet of Ministers this morning approved the purchase of 20 sniffer dogs to be deployed at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) by the Air Force.

The sniffer dogs can be used to detect explosives, firearms, drugs, money and illegal items at airports, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala de Silva who put forth the proposal, said.
