President of the Canada Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Association Yasmin Ritanzie has assured to strengthen the local economy. She mentioned that Canadian investors are prepared to undertake investments in Sri Lanka.
A delegation from Canada is visiting the island. The main intention of the visit is to explore investment opportunities in Sri Lanka. The Canadian visitors paid obeisance to the Sacred Tooth Relics at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy. Thereafter they expressed their views to the media. President of the Canada Sri Lanka Parliamentary Friendship Association Yasmin Ritanzie told the media that a positive environment prevails in Sri Lanka for investments after a lapse of 30 years. She said that during their visit they had an opportunity of meeting Parliamentary representatives. She was confident that this was a good opportunity for them to improve the friendship between the two countries. Sri Lankans domiciled in Canada said that they will get a significant opportunity to undertake investments in the island.
