Govt. More Interested In Parliamentary Affairs Than Health, Trade, Environment or Education

While the country is embroiled in various socio-economic issues on many a front, a recent study has shown that the main focus of the Sri Lankan Parliamentarians in January, 2017, has been governance, administration and Parliamentary affairs.

The issue of importing vehicles for MPs and their salaries, perks and privileges also fall under the category of Parliamentary affairs.

The survey carried about by Manthri.lk indicated that 52.08% of the time Parliament discussed governance, administration and Parliamentary affairs, while the sections of Health, Trade and Industry, Natural Resources and Environment and Education were discussed 17.88%, 9.88%, 7.34% and 4. 73% of the time respectively.
