CID Discovers The Van Used In Keith Noyahr Abduction

The Criminal Investigations Department  (CID) has discovered a van which has been used for the abduction of journalist Keith Noyahr, in 2008.

The CID has made the breakthrough following revelations made by Army officers who are now in custody in connection with the assault.

The journalist was kidnapped at the entrance of his house by a group who came in a van. 

He had been then taken to a safe house in the Malwana area, the CID investigations revealed. 

Several persons previously attached to the intelligence unit of the Sri Lanka Army are currently in remand over the abduction and the assault.
