Petroleum Trade Unions To Go On Strike: Long Queues At Petrol Sheds

Trade unions attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) have said they would go on strike for a variety of reasons from midnight today.

The trade unions said they had decided to go on strike after talks with Petroleum Minister Chandima Weerakkody failed.

Long queues were seen at petrol stations across the island after the announcement was made as commuters stock up on oil.
