Vehicle Attendants Outside Nawaloka Over Charging Patients: Patient Claims Tickets Falsified

Park attendants are overcharging patients who have parked their vehicles on the road alongside the Nawaloka Hospital, a patient alleges.

According to a patient who parked at Deshamanya Dharamadasa Mawatha at 10. 02 AM to channel a doctor, he was charged for over an hour despite having parked there only about 13 minutes.

On further scrutiny of the ticket the patient said a falsified time of 9. 30 AM had been put on the ticket, not the time he had arrived at, which was 10. 02 AM.

The patient went on to say the park attendant had tried to make the patient feel bad about the difference of Rs. 10 by saying that he could afford the money if he was a patient at a hospital like Nawaloka.

The patient however said he was objecting to falsified ticket on a matter of principle and that vehicle park attendants should not cheat patients.
