Vijitha Herath Most Active MP In Parliament: Natural Resources And Environment Most Discussed Topic

Janatha Vimukthi Permuna (JVP) MP Vijitha Herath has ranked first as most active MP during the month of April 2017, in the analysis conducted by manthiri.lk.

He is closely followed by the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP)’s Bandula Gunawardena and Lasantha Alagiyawana. 

The United National Party (UNP)’s Champika Ranawaka and Wijeydasa Rajapakshe ranked 4th and 5th in the poll.

Meanwhile, the topic ‘Natural Resources and Environment’ featured 58.9% of the time to come in first as the most discussed topic in Parliament during the month of April.

Urban Planning, Infrastructure and Transport featured next in the topics discussed in April (8. 34%), National Heritage, Media and Sports was the third-most discussed topic in Parliament (6.9%), Governance, Administration and Parliamentary Affairs fourth – 6. 13 % and Rights and Representation fifth – 5.41%.
