Senior Policeman Arrested For Robbery Further Remanded

The former Officer-in-Charge of the Borella Anti-Vice Squad who was arrested for the robbery of a stock of lightning conductors and gold jewelry worth Rs. 550, 000, was remanded until June 16 by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe.

Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Ranasinghe also informed the Court the suspect would be subject to an identification parade at the next hearing. Five other suspects – including the Officer in Charge of the Borella Police Traffic were also remanded till June 16.
