Central Bank Suspends Perpetual Treasuries For Six Months

Perpetual Treasuries, the company which is at the centre of the Treasury bonds controversy, has been suspended for 6 months from functioning as a primary dealer. 

The decision has been made by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank. 

The company has strong linked with Arjuna Aloysius, son in law of former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran.  

The decision has been made in the wake of the Presidential Commission's inquiry into the controversial bond scam.
