Shiranthi Yet To Come Before CID Over Thajudeen Death: Sought Different Date At Previous Summoning

Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa is yet to appear before the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Police.

She has also not informed the CID of the date on which she is able come before the CID for questioning.

The former First Lady was summoned for questioning relating to a van belonging to the ‘Siriliya Saviya’ on July 27, but sought a different date.

The van belonging to ‘Siriliya Saviya’ is suspect to have been used in the abduction and murder of rugby player Wasim Thajudeen.

Her second son Yoshitha Rajapaksa was also summoned to appear before the CID last month but failed to do so.
