Ravi Hits Out At AG's Department Again: Says Investigations Against Previous Govt. Should Be Expedited

Hitting out at the Attorney General's Department again, former Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake said the department should expedite investigations into cases against the previous government.

"That's what they did to me. They should do the same to the cases against the previous government" Karunanayake said, speaking to a group of journalists in Kandy.

He spoke to media after visiting the Mahanayake Thera of the Asigiriya chapter. Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was also in Kandy, yesterday.

"Why couldn't they do anything about it for the past 28 months," the former Minister asked.

He lamented in Parliament, last week, that the officials of the AG's Department deliberately acted against him with the intention of tarnishing his reputation.
