National Unity Government ‘Weakest Government’ In Sri Lanka’s Political History: JVP Leader Says Akin To Bull and Buffalo Being Put To Pull One Cart

The national unity government is the weakest government in Sri Lanka’s political history, Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake said.

He said the government was akin to a bull and a buffalo being put to draw the same cart: ‘they go in two different directions,” he said.

He said the government’s main communication arm, the weekly Cabinet Press Briefing had become a joke.

“Just look at Rajitha Seneratne,” he said, “All they do is make jokes and waste people’s time.”

He said Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has visited the ‘World’s End’ recently – “I was worried he would want to sell that next,” the JVP leader said.

“This is a government that has been unable to come up with any principles or action that do not include selling,” he said.

“We must united to topple this government,” Dissanyake said.
