President To Address United Nations General Assembly Tomorrow Morning: Third Time The President Will Be Addressing The Assembly

President Maithripala Sirisena is to address the 72nd General Assembly of the United Nations in New York at 5 a.m. local time tomorrow.

This will be the third time the President will be addressing the plenary.

He is expected to brief the world leaders on the progress of the consensual government as well as his commitment to end poverty in 2017.

The General Debate of the United Nations General Assembly will be on the theme, ‘Focusing on People: Striving for Peace and a Decent Life for All on a Sustainable Planet’.

President Sirisena will end his visit to New York on September 26.
