Usman Khan Shinwari Replaces Amir In Pakistan’s Five-Match ODI Series Against Sri Lanka

Pakistan’s National Selection Committee - headed by Inzamam ul Haq - has named fast bowler Usman Khan Shinwari as a replacement for the fast bowler Mohammad Amir in the five-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

“Amir has been ruled out of the ODI series against Sri Lanka due to a stress-related injury in the right shin”, said a spokesman of Pakistan Cricket Board on Monday (9).

Sri Lanka and Pakistan are currently embattled in a ten match series in Abu Dhabi; Sri Lanka one the first of two Test matches, the second of which is currently underway.

The two Test matches will be followed by 5 ODIs and 3 T20s before the series ends.
