The Kelaniya University will reopen on October 16, University authorities said.

The University was closed on October 5 following a clash between two student factions.

At the time, the Kelaniya University said all faculties – with the exception of the Medical faculty  - would remain closed until further notice.

University authorities said today the hostel facilities would be open by October 15.
