SLTB Cancels Leave Of All Bus Drivers And Conductors To Relieve Those Affected By Train Strike

The Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB), in a preemptive move, has cancelled all leave of bus drivers and conductors to relieve those affected by the train strike.

Last night (11), train drivers and conductors launched an unannounced strike at the Colombo Fort Railways Station, leaving hundred of commuters stranded.

The strike has continued today with train drivers and conductors demanding that authorities rectify several anomalies.

Commuters have opted to travel by bus today as a result of the train strike and the move by the SLTB ensures that all bus drivers and conductors will be at work.
