Sex Scandal At Sri Lanka Cricket: SLC Deny Involvement – Says Journalist Attached To Private Media Made Improper Advances

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), in a statement released today, denied the allegation that an employee of SLC was involved in the sexual harassment of a Pakistani journalist in Abu Dhabi.

The female journalist had posted on her Twitter feed the advances made on her by an employee of SLC and had also reported the incident to the Pakistan Cricket Board.

However, SLC in it’s statement rescinded involvement saying it was a journalist attached to a private media organization who had made the improper advances.

‘Sri Lanka Cricket wishes to deny the alleged involvement of any official or employee of SLC in the purported incident of harassment of a female journalist in Abu Dhabi during the ongoing Sri Lanka Vs. Pakistan series,’ SLC said it its statement.

‘The incident which was brought to light by the lady concerned via her personal Twitter handle alleging it to have been perpetrated by an official of SLC has been formally reported to SLC by the Pakistan Cricket Board.’

‘SLC confirms it is neither an official nor employee of Sri Lanka Cricket, but is a journalist representing a private media organization,’ it further clarified.
