Hathurusinghe Tipped To Be Sri Lanka's Next Head Coach: President Sirisena Makes The Offer

Coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team Chandika Hathurusinghe is tipped to join the Sri Lankan national cricket team as its new head coach. 

Bangladeshi cricket authorities confirmed on Thursday that Hathurusinghe got an offer from Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena to coach the country's national cricket team. 

Hathurusinghe tendered his letter of resignation to the Bangladesh cricket board yesterday. 

It is learnt that Hathurusinghe will coach the Sri Lankan national team until the 2019 World Cup. 

Former Batting coach of the Bangladesh national team Thilan Samaraweera will also join the Sri Lankan team as its new batting coach.
