Twelve members of the Joint Opposition (JO) have brought a no-confidence motion against Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Faiszer Mustapha today.

The JO members are holding Mustapha responsible for the delay in holding the Local Government elections.

The no-confidence motion filed by the 12 JO members was handed over to Speaker Karu Jayasuriya in Parliament today.
