Harsha Calls To Notice Empty Joint Opposition Seats At Parliament: ‘Thought They Fought For The Farmers?’

Policy Planning and Economic Development Deputy Minister Harsha de Silva brought the attention of the public to the empty seats of the Joint Opposition (JO) in Parliament today.

Tweeting from Parliament, the Deputy Minister said: ‘The interest of the so-called JO in #SriLanka Agriculture, Irrigation and Mahaweli Development. Thought they fought for farmers?’

Parliament today took up for debate the expenditure heads of several ministries including the Agriculture, Irrigation and Mahaweli Development ministries.

The expenditure heads of the Sports, Education, Internal Affairs, Wayamba Development and Cultural Affairs ministries were some of the expenditure heads up for debate today.
