Russel Arnold Predicts Sri Lanka Won't Be White-Washed In ODI Series With India

December 08, 2017

Former Sri Lankan cricketer and cricket commentator Russel Arnold said Sri Lanka would not be whitewashed  by India during the ODI series, as happened two months ago.

"So Test series ends 1-0 and I can promise you the ODI's wont end 5-0 like it did a few months ago !!!," Arnold Tweeted.

Sri Lanka was whitewashed during the bilateral Test series held in Sri Lanka in October. But, during the recently concluded three match series in India, Sri Lanka managed to end two matches in draw, despite a monumental defeat in the second test.

Twp players who were away from the Sri Lanka ODI squad due to injuries - namely Asela Gunaratne and Kusal Janith Perera - have re-joined the side ahead of the ODI series.

All-rounder Thisara Perera has also been appointed as the new captain of the Sri Lanka ODI and T20 team.
