Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaththe Gnanasara Therapy has net Colombo Archbishop Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith yesterday. 

Sources close the BBS Organisation said the meeting between the two religious representatives was cordial. 

At the meeting, the controversial monk has praised Cardinal Ranjith for the latter's intervention to ban tuition classes on Sundays and Poya Days. 

This was the first meeting between the two. 

Gnanasara Thera, however, is known for his remarks against the country's ethnic and religious minorities, in the past.
