December 27, 2017

Former Sri Lankan skipper Angelo Mathews will have to stay out of cricket for four weeks due to a hamstring injury, Sri Lanka Cricket sources said.

Mathews pulled his hamstring while bowling during the second T20 match against India.

Mathews was one of Sri Lanka's in-inform batsman during the tour.

The doctors treating him had said there was no serious damage to his hamstring and he would be fully recovered in four weeks.

Mathews will join the Sri Lankan team touring Bangladesh in January.
