Deputy Minister Ranjan Ramanayaka yesterday extended his wishes to South Indian superstar Rajinikanth who announced his plans to form a new party and enter politics. 

"Congratulations & all the best from Sri Lanka for @superstarrajini sir on his political entry, He will definitely do good for people in Tamilnadu & create a corruption free society," Ramanayaka tweeted, while also posting a picture of himself and the South Indian actor. 

The Sri Lankan actor turned politician is known to be a great admirer of the South Indian film star. 

Rajinikanth, at a rally held in Chennai, announced that his party would contest for all 234 seats in the coming assembly elections.
