Dinesh Chandimal has been appointed the captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team for the T20 series against Bangladesh. 

Chandimal lost his place in the T20 due to his poor form in the format and the law strike rate. 

Sri Lanka's permanent captain Angelo Mathews will not be available for the T20 series due to his hamstring injury. 

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan all-rounder Jeevan Mendis has been recalled to the side after 4 years. 

The 15 member squad for the T20 series is as follows,
