Two SLFP Ministers who heavily criticized Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe last week - Susil Premajayantha and Dayasiri Jayasekera - were notable absentees at the Cabinet meeting today. 

They also went on to make public statements that the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe should resign from his position. 

Apart from them, most SLFP Ministers were present at the meeting which took place at the Presidential Secretariat. 

A senior Cabinet minister who spoke to Asian Mirror after today's meeting said the proceedings were peaceful.
