The last rites of UN Resident Coordinator Una McCauley, will take place in Colombo on Friday (March 2). 

Her remains will lie at the Jayaratne ‘Respect’ Parlour from 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm Friday, followed by the cremation at the Borella Cemetery at 4 pm.

Many state dignitaries and those representing the non-governmental sector are expected to attend. 

McCauley, who was the first female UN Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, passed away on Saturday (24) at the age of 54.

She was on leave to undergo medical treatment at the time of her passing.
