Appeal Court Grants Permission To Lalith Weeratunga For Personal Visit to Australia From March 20 To April 30

Former Secretary to n the President Lalith Weeratunga was granted permission by the Court of Appeal to travel abroad from March 20 to April 30. 

The Court of Appeal, this morning, temporarily lifted the ban on the former Secretary to the President, who has been indicted in connection with misusing state funds. '

Sources close to Weeratunga said he was planning to visit Australia from March 25 to April 20 for a personal matter. 

Weeratunga first sought permission from the Colombo High Court and the HC judge Gihan Kulatunga turned down the request.
