The Police have canceled leave of all Police officers until further notice due to the prevailing tense situation in the Kandy district. 

The Police Department, in a statement, said the decision had been made under emergency regulations.

Meanwhile, a 24 hour curfew has also been imposed in the administrative district of Kandy, under directives from IGP Pujith Jayasundara.
