Sagala Says Communication Problem Is One Failure Of Current Government: "No Delay In Development Projects So Far'

The current government has failed to communicate its good work to the public, Youth Affairs and Southern Development Minister Sagala Ratnayaka said yesterday.

He said although the government had carried out various projects benefiting the public, it has failed to convey that message effectively to the people.

Ratnayaka made these remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of the Future Minds Exhibition held at Nalanda College, Colombo.

"This communications problem is a failure of the current government," he added stating that there was no delay in development activities carried out by the state.

He also added that the government had focused heavily on developing infrastructure related to the tourism sector.

"We need to understand that the tourists visiting the country are conversant with the latest technology. They need better infrastructure and high quality services," the Minister said, adding that the government had made comprehensive efforts in this regard.
