UPFA Parliamentarian Prasanna ranaweera has been remanded until March 22. 

The Gampaha Magistrate had issued this order after the MP was arrested by bye the Police over an alleged assault. 

The alleged assault had taken place during a party in the Gampaha district. 

The assaulted person had lodged a complaint with the Gampaha Police over the incient.
