Sumanthiran Says Those Who Presented No-Confidence Motion Has Now Reduced It To A Joke

Those who presented the no-confidence motion has now reduced it to a joke, TNA Parliamentarian M.A. Sumanthiran said.

"In any country, a no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister is a serious matter. This debate should be carried out with the seriousness the motion deserves," Sumanthiran said, while speaking in Parliament.

"This no-confidence motion is the first assault on the national unity government. The second may be aimed at the Speaker's Chair. The third will be directed at the President," he added.

This move, Sampanthan said, contravenes the people's will expressed at the last Presidential election.
