Retired Navy Officer Serving As Operations Manager Of Avant Garde Arrested By CID

Former Operations Manager of Avant Garde Lieutenant Nilupul de Costa has been arrested by the CID in connection with the Avant Garde controversy.

A senior Police spokesperson, speaking to Asian Mirror, said the arrested person was a retired officer of the Sri Lanka Navy. 

He is a resident of Jambugaswaththe, Kelaniya. 

The CID investigations are currently underway into alleged misappropriations of public funds involving the Avant Garde company. 

The company is owned by former army officer Nissanka Senadhipathy, a close ally of former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa.
