Suranga Lakmal To Captain Sri Lanka In Third Test If Chandimal Loses His Appeal Today

Fast bowler Suranga Lakmal will captain the Sri Lankan team for the third test against the West Indies if Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal loses his appeal today.

SLC sources said Rangana Herath was likely to miss the third Test due to a minor injury.

Lakmal is the Vice Captain of the Sri Lankan Test team touring West Indies.

The  International Cricket Council appointed Michael Beloff as the Judicial Commissioner to hear Sri Lankan skipper Dinesh Chandimal's appeal today.

This comes in the wake of Chandimal's appeal against the one match ban imposed on him by ICC match referee Javagal Srinath following the ball tampering allegation during the second test against West Indies.
