A senior journalist of the Rivira Sunday Newspaper has been summoned before the Terrorist Investigations Division over a story on the LTTE resurgence in the North. 

The story appeared as the lead story of the newspaper recently. 

The journalist has been summoned to record a statement on the story. 

The summons have been issued under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).

The journalist has been asked to appear before the TID on June 24.
