A heavy traffic was reported in the Town Hall area this afternoon due to a protest organized by the Joint Opposition. 

The protest, 'Jana Bala Sena', demanded the government to resolve rising cost of living and step selling of what they termed national assets. 

A number of Parliamentarians, including John Seneviratne, Kumar Welgama, Wimal Weerawansa and Namal Rajapaksa representing attended the protest. 

They said a series of protests would be staged against the government in the near future.
