Wigneswaran Too Faces Contempt Of Court Charges: Noticed To Appear Before Appeal Court On September 07

Chief Minister Wigneswaran, K.Sarveswaran and K.Sivanesan were noticed to appear before court  on September 07 over a contempt of court case.

The Chief Minister and others were noticed following an affidavit filed by B.Denishwaran alleging that Wigneswaran and other defendants have willfully acted in contempt of the Court of Appeal order since they prevented him from acting as a Minister of the Northern Province.

The Court of Appeal, in an interim order, had previously prevented the Northern Province Chief Minister C.V Wigneswaran from removing Denishwaran from functioning as the Minister of Fisheries and Transport in the province.
