The government has recruited 4100 graduates to the state service yesterday. 

They were given appointment letters during a ceremony held at Temple Trees under the patronage of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe. 

All graduates have been recruited to the state sector as Development Officers. 

They will initially undergo a one year training period.

The new recruits have been assigned to the Home Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Project Management, Youth Affairs and Southern Development.
