Controversial Parliamentarian Chathura Senaratne Gets Married At A Ceremony Held At Prime Minister's Official Residence

Parliamentarian Chathura Senaratne got married a short while ago, at a ceremony held at Temple Trees, in Colombo. 

Senaratne, the son of Health Minister Rajitha Senaratne and Dr. Sujatha Senaratne, got married to Saroopa Samangie, a student of the Kotalawela Defence University. 

She was previously a student of SAITM, the controversial private medical school in Sri Lanka. 

The choice of Temple Trees as the venue for his wedding is interesting as it is the official residence of the Prime Minister. 

Chathura Senaratne, a politician quite reputed for making controversial remarks, represents the United National Front for Good Governance. 

Once he Openly challenged former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to defeat him at the Beliatte seat, the traditional stronghold of the Rajapaksa family. 

His wedding was attended by a large number of politicians, businessmen and other distinguished guests.
