Use Of Temple Trees For Chathura's Wedding: PM's Office Says MP Paid All His Bills And Followed Due Procedure

The Prime Minister's Office, in a statement, clarified that Parliamentarian Chathura Senaratne paid for the expenses of his wedding held at Temple Trees.

The statement said the main hall of Temple Trees can be used for personal functions after going through the following procedure.

The Prime Minister's Office said the same standards applied to Senaratne and he paid for the venue and bore the expenses of the wedding.

"Not a cent of tax money was used for the Parliamentarian's wedding," it added.

The statement said it was Parliamentarian Senaratne who asked if the hall can be used for his wedding ceremony.

"The justification for the request of the hall was acceptable and therefore the permission was granted following the due process," it added.

The Parliamentarian got married at a ceremony held at Temple Trees yesterday, attended by a large number of Parliamentarians and guests.
