MR Says Misinformation Campaign Against Govt Not Needed: "Our Only Job Should Be To Communicate Their Action To Public"

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said there was no need to launch misinformation campaigns against the current government as its leaders are digging their own political graves.

Addressing a meeting in Kosgama yesterday, Rajapaksa said the government's disastrous action should be communicated to the public by the opposition. .

"That alone is enough to bring them down, " Rajapaksa explained.

"The president himself said two of his ministers had asked for commissions from the Gin-Nilwala project, " he added.

"If they have information about corrupt ministers, they should promptly reveal them to the public. The people have a right to know, " he also said.

The former President added that every aspect of the country was stuck in a deadlock.
