November 02, 2018

Soon after 118 MPs in Parliament unanimously passed a resolution claiming former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's appointment as the Prime Minister "unacceptable", JHU Leader Patali Champika Ranawaka went back to his ministry and reclaimed his chair.

Ranawaka, a prominent member of the UNF alliance, visited the Megapolis and Western Development Ministry with JHU Vice Chairman Karunaratne Paranawithana and held a meeting with his officials.

Addressing his officials, Ranawaka instructed them to continue the current projects without delay irrespective of the "political climate outside".

He also posed for a photograph with his senior staff members.
